HOW DID BELABÜ KIDS START?

I, the creator of BELABÜ KIDS, am an incurable optimist and it all started with moving from the city to the countryside. Unlike many who see unemployment in the countryside – I saw potential. If you want to stay here for life, willingly or not, you have to come up with something, as they say – survival belongs to those who adapt.  Finding work from home wasn't easy, and commuting to the city wasn't really an option either, because at home there was a whole bunch of pets and poultry. I already knew I wanted to start a business as soon as I moved, but I'm sure I don't have the entrepreneur genes and struggle to sell anything. BUT... I had the desire to create something special. I had to think about what I can do and what I can learn so I could start my own small business and not give up my dream of living in my peaceful countryside haven in Liezēre. The idea for a children's clothing and accessories sewing business came when I met my foster son exactly on his 1st birthday. When I got home, I started planning how we would celebrate, how I would dress him up, but while browsing online stores, I couldn't find anything that spoke to me. I wanted clothing that would stand out from classic clothes with a 'twist', but not be some fast fashion knockoff, and so the idea for transformable children's clothes and accessories was born.  I realized that I was actually sitting on a pile of resources – in the barn there was both an industrial overlock and a sewing machine, plus my mom is an experienced pattern maker/designer, who in her time has worked as a design engineer, introduced new technologies, and even supervised quality – I still remember my childhood costumes with autumn leaves and awesome theatre outfits. Once I unexpectedly got a sewing machine, it had to be placed by the window with the most beautiful view – the place where a year ago we celebrated our wedding in our country house yard. My soul is happy and the first BELABÜ KIDS products are being made! The range of transformable clothing has become more limited, but just like in nature, everything flows and changes, we also adapt, test, and create clothes for little ones, especially focusing on outerwear. If you are reading this, I am truly glad you have found us! We would be happy to dress up your little one for celebrations, as well as create beautiful and comfortable outfits for everyday life. We also sew matching outfits for moms and dads, but if for some reason you want something just for yourself, feel free to let us know – in each of us there is still that child who also deserves to be cared for. We do everything to make it a joy to receive our packages!
